KiloEx Trading Points 2026: How to Track Perp Activity and Avoid Reward Scams

KiloEx Trading Points 2026: How to Track Perp Activity and Avoid Reward Scams

KiloEx is a perpetuals exchange on BNB Chain, opBNB, Base and several smaller networks, backed by YZi Labs (formerly Binance Labs). For two years its points page was a daily habit for airdrop farmers: check in, trade, deposit in the vault, invite friends. Those points became KILO tokens, and the token now drives a different reward system based on fee discounts, real-yield staking and vault income. This guide explains how KiloEx points worked, what replaced them, and what traders and vault depositors actually risk.

What KiloEx is

KiloEx offers perpetual futures on crypto, plus stock and forex pairs, with leverage up to 125x on major markets. Traders connect a wallet, with no KYC, and trade against the protocol’s vault rather than an order book. The exchange highlights near-zero slippage on BTC and ETH in normal conditions, a “fast trading mode” that pre-approves actions so trades feel CEX-like, and a liquidation price that does not depend on leverage. It also runs spot and meme markets and a yield product called KiloEx Earn.

The main site is kiloex.io, trading happens at app.kiloex.io, and documentation is at docs.kiloex.io. The site lists audits by Secure3, ANCILIA, SCALEBIT and SlowMist.

How KiloEx trading points worked

KiloEx set aside 100 million KILO, 10% of supply, for its points airdrop. It was split into two seasons:

  • Genesis Season ended with a snapshot on 17 July 2024. It received 4% of supply (40 million KILO), paid at the token generation event.
  • Pioneer Season ran from 17 July 2024 to the TGE. It received 6% (60 million KILO), distributed over the 180 days after TGE.

There were five ways to earn points. A daily check-in gave 1 to 7 points on a rising streak, up to 28 a week, and reset if you missed a day. Trading also counted as a check-in. Trading earned points by volume, and the rate was cut over time to 24.5 points per 1,000 USDT traded. Vault deposits earned points with a multiplier that was halved twice: 0.05 before 23 October 2023, 0.025 until 1 February 2024, and 0.0125 after that. Referrals paid the referrer an extra 15% to 25% of an invitee’s points depending on level, and OAT activities on campaign platforms added more.

Those repeated rate cuts show what the designers were worried about. Volume-based points invite wash trading, so KiloEx kept reducing the payout per dollar. KILO launched in March 2025, and the Pioneer allocation’s 180-day release has since ended. At the time of writing, KiloEx’s documentation describes no new points season. Check the Points page in the app for any current campaign before assuming your trading still builds toward an airdrop.

What rewards look like now

xKILO real-yield staking

KILO on BNB Chain converts 1:1 into xKILO, a non-transferable staked token. According to the docs, 30% of platform commission goes to the xKILO Real Yield Staking Pool, paid weekly by epoch in proportion to your stake. Converting back is where the cost lies. A 15-day redemption returns 50% of your KILO, the full 180 days returns 100%, and any unredeemed xKILO from a shorter choice is burned. Only KILO on BNB Chain can be converted, so tokens on other chains have to be bridged first.

VIP fee discounts

Active traders earn discounts instead of points. Seven VIP levels give 10% to 40% off trading fees, based on 30-day perp volume (from $2.8M for VIP1 to more than $18M for VIP7), KILO and xKILO holdings (from $5,000 up to $1M or more), or spot volume. Levels refresh daily at 00:00 UTC. xKILO still sitting in a conversion pool counts at half value.

Hybrid Vault income

Liquidity providers deposit stablecoins (USDT, USDC, FDUSD) or other assets such as stETH, slisBNB, MANTA or STONE into the Hybrid Vault. They receive hTokens and earn up to 30% of platform trading revenue. Non-stablecoin deposits earn at a discount set by their loan-to-value ratio.

A quick comparison helps. A trader who reaches VIP3 needs $6M to $8M of 30-day volume. At typical perp fee rates, a 20% discount on that volume is worth less than a single bad liquidation at high leverage. For most users, the xKILO pool and the vault are where KiloEx’s revenue actually reaches them, and both lock up capital for that privilege.

Referrals, affiliates and Genesis Pass

Referral and affiliate programs pay commission on invitees’ fees. The docs also list a Genesis Pass under rewards. Read its current terms in the docs rather than relying on older guides.

How to track your KiloEx activity

  1. Use app.kiloex.io and choose the right chain. KiloEx runs separate deployments on BNB Chain, opBNB, Base, Manta, B2 and Taiko. Positions, vault deposits and stats do not carry over between chains.
  2. Check your VIP level. The VIP page shows your 30-day volume and the holdings counted toward your tier. If your level drops, it is usually because older volume has rolled out of the 30-day window.
  3. Track xKILO separately. The staking page shows your xKILO, weekly real-yield payouts and any redemption in progress with its end date. Do not cancel or change a redemption without working out what will be burned.
  4. Track the vault by epoch. Vault positions are shown in hTokens. Withdrawals follow three-day epochs with a wait of one to three epochs, and fixed-term stablecoin deposits cannot leave early.
  5. Keep your own record of trades. Fees, funding and realized PnL decide whether VIP discounts or staking yield actually made you money.

Risks specific to KiloEx

  • Leverage and liquidation. With up to 125x available, a move of under 1% can wipe out a position. Chasing VIP volume with high leverage is the fastest way to lose more than any discount saves.
  • Oracle risk. In April 2025 KiloEx suffered a multimillion-dollar exploit across several of its chains through price-oracle manipulation. The attacker returned the funds after negotiations. A perp DEX is only as safe as its price feeds.
  • Vault as counterparty. The Hybrid Vault takes the other side of traders’ positions. When traders win big, LPs lose. The docs also note that vault positions with a health factor below 1.0 can be liquidated.
  • Locked liquidity. Epoch-based vault withdrawals and the 180-day xKILO unwind mean you cannot exit quickly when conditions change.
  • Multi-chain deployments. Smaller chains such as B2 and Taiko have thinner liquidity and their own bridge and sequencer risks.

Spotting fake KiloEx reward pages

KiloEx’s official addresses are kiloex.io and its subdomains (app, docs), with Galxe campaigns under galxe.com/KiloEx and announcements on @KiloEx_perp on X and the KiloEx Medium blog. Common scams include “KILO airdrop round 2” claim pages, fake “xKILO unlock” sites promising to skip the 180-day redemption, and bot DMs in the multilingual Telegram groups offering “VIP upgrades”. KiloEx contract addresses are listed on a dedicated docs page. Check the KILO token address there before trading, and never approve tokens on a site you reached through a DM.

FAQ

Are KiloEx points still turning into KILO?

The documented Genesis and Pioneer seasons have finished, with Pioneer paid out over 180 days after the March 2025 launch. No new points season is described in the docs at the time of writing.

How long does it take to unstake xKILO?

The full 180 days returns all your KILO. 15 days returns 50%, and the rest is burned.

What do xKILO stakers earn?

A weekly share of 30% of platform commission, in proportion to stake.

Can I withdraw from the vault at any time?

No. Withdrawals follow three-day epochs with a wait of one to three epochs, and fixed-term stablecoin deposits are locked until maturity.

Verdict

KiloEx’s airdrop phase is over. What remains is an ordinary perp DEX reward model: fee discounts for volume, a share of fees for long-term stakers, and vault income for LPs who accept counterparty risk. That can suit a committed trader, but none of it makes high-leverage volume farming a sensible plan. If a page promises a fresh KILO allocation, check the docs and @KiloEx_perp first.

For information only, not financial advice. Leveraged trading can lose your entire margin, and vault deposits can lose value.
