If you search for “Avantis XP” today, you will land on a project that has changed its name. Avantis, the perpetuals exchange on Base, rebranded as Veranta in mid-September 2026. Its XP loyalty program is marked as ended in the documentation. The three XP seasons that fed the AVNT token are finished. What remains is a token with staking, buybacks and fee discounts, plus a new trading competition. Each of these rewards a different kind of user. This guide covers what the XP seasons paid, what has replaced them, and how to avoid the fake “Avantis claim” pages that the rebrand has made easier to fall for.
From Avantis to Veranta: what changed and what did not
Avantis launched as a leveraged perpetuals DEX on Base, with crypto, forex and commodity markets priced by oracles and backed by a USDC liquidity vault. In September 2026 the team relaunched it as Veranta and widened its focus to real-world assets. The platform now lists more than 100 RWA markets alongside crypto, covering forex, metals and equities, including Korean equities on KRX. The team says it plans to grow that to 500+ RWAs by year end. It is still deployed only on Base.
The token did not change. The team’s line was that AVNT stays AVNT, and the token contract on Base (0x696F9436B67233384889472Cd7cD58A6fB5DF4f1) is the same. The old domains now redirect: avantisfi.com forwards to veranta.xyz, and docs.avantisfi.com forwards to docs.veranta.xyz. The project’s X account is now @verantaxyz.
How the three XP seasons worked
XP was Avantis’s loyalty program. Each season had its own rules, and the docs now label all three as ended.
- Season 1 ran from 11 June 2024 to 11 December 2024.
- Season 2 started on 12 December 2024 and wound down in the third quarter of 2025.
- Season 3 ran from early September 2025 to 28 February 2026.
Seasons 1 and 2 were paid out of the AVNT launch allocation. When AVNT went live in September 2025 with a fixed supply of 1 billion tokens, 12.5% was set aside for airdrops. That pool covered Season 1 and 2 activity plus community contributors and ecosystem partners. Season 3 was the first season with a fixed token budget announced in advance: 40 million AVNT, or 4% of supply, with 3% for traders and 1% for liquidity providers.

Season 3 mechanics in detail
- Trading XP. On fixed-fee trades you earned up to 1 XP per dollar of volume. The exact rate depended on the market, position size and how long the position stayed open. Season 3 gave more weight to longer holds than earlier seasons, to discourage rapid open-close volume farming. On zero-fee perps, XP followed the fees you actually paid. Since those markets charge only on profitable closes, winning trades earned far more XP than losing ones. Liquidated trades still counted.
- Liquidity XP. Depositing USDC into the vault earned 1 XP per dollar per day. The lock multipliers from Season 2 were dropped for new deposits, though existing locked positions kept the bonuses they had already earned.
- Staking Score boost. Boosts came from your Staking Score in the AVNT Security Module, calculated as staked AVNT × (days staked^1.05). The score rewarded both size and time. Unstaking at any point reset it to zero.
- Referrals. Referrers received 10% of the trading and liquidity XP their referees generated.
The Season 3 dashboard showed total XP and separate trading and liquidity ranks. Trading XP appeared within about 15 minutes, and liquidity XP appeared instantly. Token claims were scheduled to open when the season closed at the end of February 2026.
Is there a Season 4?
At the time of writing, no. Veranta has not announced another XP season, and the rewards section of its documentation lists XP only as an ended program. Trading on Veranta now does not build up hidden XP for a future airdrop, and no official source has said it will. Anyone selling “Season 4 XP” access, boosts or early allocation is not acting for the project. If a new season is launched, the documentation’s rewards section and the @verantaxyz account are where it would first appear.
What rewards exist instead
With XP gone, AVNT holders, traders and liquidity providers each have their own way to earn. They have very different risk profiles.
Security Module staking
AVNT holders can stake in the Security Module, which acts as a backstop for the liquidity vault. The docs list a target APR of 15%, paid in AVNT every block. Stakers also get fee discounts of up to 30% on fixed fees and on zero-fee perps profit shares. The trade-off is slashing. If the vault buffer ratio falls below 0.925 and liquidity providers realise a loss of 5% or more, up to 20% of staked AVNT can be slashed. The treasury can also step in to cover the gap. The docs say LPs have had no realised losses since August 2024, and that the largest single-day drop in share price was 30 basis points. That is a good track record, but it does not guarantee anything against a sharp move in a thin RWA market.
Buyback and burn
Since March 2026, 30% of daily opening, closing and win fees has gone toward buying AVNT on the open market and sending it to a null address. Margin fees go entirely to LPs, and liquidation fees go to the treasury. A second milestone would raise the buyback share to 50% or more after planned economic upgrades. Burns are recorded on-chain and shown on the buyback dashboard at veranta.xyz/buybacks. Buybacks support the token’s economics in general, but they do not pay anyone directly.
The avUSDC liquidity vault
Liquidity providers deposit USDC and receive avUSDC. The vault takes the other side of trader positions and earns margin fees and a share of other fees. Returns depend on trader PnL. If traders win on balance, LP returns fall.
Treasures & Trades competition
The new incentive for traders is a $100,000 USDC trading competition that runs in weekly arenas from 21 September to 26 October 2026. Weekly prize pools step up from $10,000 in week 1 to $30,000 in week 5, and winners claim at the end of each week. Scoring combines volume and realised PnL. An open adds its full notional as volume. A close adds its notional plus realised PnL. A liquidation counts your whole collateral as a loss. Placing, cancelling or editing orders earns nothing. Boost codes multiply your score for fills inside a boost window, usually 24 hours. The hub is at veranta.xyz/treasures.

Getting started on Veranta without burning your margin
- Fund a Base wallet with USDC. The docs include an on-ramp guide if you are starting from fiat. You will need a little ETH on Base for gas unless you use the gasless option.
- Connect at veranta.xyz. Type the address yourself. Gasless and one-click trading can be turned on, which delegates signing for faster orders. Use this only on a device you trust.
- Choose a product. Fixed-fee perps charge opening and closing fees plus a net funding and borrow rate. Upside Perps, the product formerly marketed as zero-fee perps, charge nothing on losing trades and keep a 5–25% share of profits depending on ROI. They also have no borrow fee, and funding passes between traders. Leverage goes up to 250x on Upside Perps.
- Check market hours. Forex, metals and equity markets follow their traditional trading sessions. Positions can gap across closures, and the leverage schedule changes around those hours. The docs have dedicated pages on price gaps and the leverage schedule.
- Set stop-losses. Partial take-profit and stop-loss orders arrived with the V2 update. Use them before anything else, especially on RWA markets you do not usually trade.
- Join the competition only with capital you would trade anyway. Weekly leaderboards reward size and PnL. Forcing extra volume to climb the leaderboard mostly turns fees into losses.
Risks that apply to this platform
- Leverage and liquidation. With up to 250x available, a small price move can wipe out a position. In the competition, a liquidation counts your full collateral against your score.
- Gap risk on RWA markets. Equities and forex reopen at new prices after weekends and sessions. A stop-loss cannot protect you from a gap at the open.
- Oracle dependence. Prices come from oracle feeds, not an order book. Execution quality and any feed outage directly affect your fills.
- Slashing for stakers. Security Module rewards come with the possibility of losing up to 20% of your stake if the vault has a serious shortfall. Unstaking also resets your Staking Score.
- Counterparty risk for LPs. avUSDC holders are, in effect, on the other side of every trader.
- Token price. AVNT has fallen sharply since its 2025 launch, and staking APR quoted in AVNT says nothing about dollar returns.
Spotting fake Avantis and Veranta claim pages
A rebrand is ideal cover for phishing: “migrate your AVNT to VRNT,” “claim your Veranta airdrop,” “convert XP before the deadline.” None of these reflect anything the project has announced. Keep these checks in mind:
- The token is still AVNT, with the same Base contract. There is no token swap and no new ticker.
- Official web properties are veranta.xyz and docs.veranta.xyz. The old avantisfi.com addresses only redirect there.
- Official social: @verantaxyz on X. Treat messages from any “Avantis support” account that contacts you first as hostile.
- XP seasons have ended. A page that shows you “unclaimed XP” that needs a signature to convert is a drainer.
- Competition prizes are claimed inside the Treasures hub on veranta.xyz, never through a form that asks for your seed phrase or a wallet export.
FAQ
Does trading on Veranta now earn XP?
No. XP ended with Season 3 on 28 February 2026, and no new season has been announced.
Did the rebrand change the AVNT token?
No. AVNT keeps its name, supply and contract address on Base. Only the platform brand and domains changed.
What is the safest way to earn AVNT-denominated yield?
Security Module staking is the only native option. It pays a target APR in AVNT and gives fee discounts, but up to 20% of your stake can be slashed in a vault shortfall. That is a protocol risk you need to accept.
Who can join the $100K competition?
Anyone trading with their own capital on Veranta on Base during the weekly arenas, up to 26 October 2026. Check the Treasures hub for current weekly rules and boost codes.
Verdict
The “earn XP now, get tokens later” phase of Avantis is over. It paid out across three seasons and a 12.5% launch airdrop, with Season 3 alone carrying a 40 million AVNT budget. Veranta’s current incentives are more transparent but less speculative. You can stake AVNT and accept slashing risk, provide USDC and take the other side of traders, or compete for a fixed USDC prize pool with your own trading. If you were only here for a future airdrop, there is nothing announced to farm. If you trade leveraged RWAs anyway, the competition and the staking fee discount are the real perks.
This article is for information only and is not financial advice. Leveraged trading can lose more than you expect, and staking or LP positions carry smart-contract and slashing risk.
