Zerion XP 2026: How to Track Wallet Activity and Avoid Fake Claim Pages

Zerion XP 2026: How to Track Wallet Activity and Avoid Fake Claim Pages

Zerion XP is one of the longer-running wallet loyalty programs in crypto, and 2026 changed it more than any year before. Zerion’s own layer 2, ZERϴ Network, is being wound down, and XP that used to depend on holding funds on that chain now accrues from your balance across every chain Zerion supports. If you have been farming XP on the assumption that it will turn into a token, this is a good moment to look at what the program actually is, what has changed, and what has never been promised.

What Zerion is

Zerion started as a DeFi portfolio tracker and grew into a self-custodial wallet available as a mobile app, a browser extension and a web app at zerion.io. It tracks tokens, NFTs and DeFi positions across dozens of networks (the site currently cites 66 chains), and it has built-in swaps, bridging and, more recently, perpetuals and tokenized assets in the same interface.

Zerion makes money from fees on swaps and bridges and from Zerion Premium, a one-year subscription. According to the Zerion Help Center, Premium lowers the standard Zerion trading fee from 0.67% to 0.25%, adds profit and loss tracking, CSV export of transaction history, alerts for non-Zerion wallets and priority support.

How Zerion Rewards and XP work

Zerion Rewards is a levelling system. You earn XP, fill a progress bar, and each new level unlocks a reward. The help centre lists three ways to earn:

1. Activity: Quests and Gasback

  • Quests are specific on-chain tasks shown in the Rewards section. You claim XP after completing them.
  • Gasback gives XP for signing transactions with Zerion Wallet on any chain, capped at 70 transactions per week.
  • Both count against an Activity limit per level, shown under the progress bar. XP earned above the limit is not lost: it rolls over and counts when you reach the next level.
  • Activity only counts if you sign with the Zerion extension or mobile app. Doing the same quest through MetaMask or Rabby will not let you claim the XP.

2. Daily Earnings from your balance

This is the part that changed. Until the ZERϴ wind-down, passive XP came from assets held on ZERϴ Network: around $225 of assets earned 1 XP per day, with boosts for certain tokens and pools, such as 2x for USDT on ZERϴ and 3x for some liquidity pools. Now Daily Earnings are based on your total wallet balance across all chains Zerion supports, at a scaled-down rate (details below).

3. Referrals

When friends join with your referral code, you receive 10% of their Daily Earnings as XP.

Why progress stalls at Level 5

From Level 5, the help centre notes that Activity XP alone is not enough to level up. You need XP from Daily Earnings or referrals to keep climbing, which in practice means holding meaningful balances in a Zerion wallet.

What XP actually unlocks

The rewards Zerion documents for levelling are cosmetic and fee-related rather than financial:

  • Special DNA backgrounds and bodies. Zerion DNA is a generative avatar tied to your wallet. Its normal background reflects gas spent in Zerion Wallet; special backgrounds and bodies unlock at certain levels.
  • A Special App Icon for the mobile app, set in Settings > Appearance, available from a given level.
  • Premium DNA perks. Zerion DNA was migrated to ZERϴ as a soulbound token. Wallets holding it keep their benefits, including address avatars and 0% Zerion swap fees for Premium DNA holders.

Zerion has not announced a token, and its help centre does not describe XP as convertible into one. Plenty of people farm XP expecting an eventual airdrop, but nothing in Zerion’s official help material promises one.

The ZERϴ Network shutdown

ZERϴ Network was Zerion’s own layer 2, launched to offer near-free transactions and a home for XP and DNA. The help centre now says ZERϴ is winding down on July 31, 2026, and that users should bridge assets off before that date. What that means for XP holders:

  • Existing XP and levels are preserved. Nothing already earned is removed.
  • Daily Earnings now use your total balance across all supported chains. The rate was scaled down so that levelling continues at roughly the pace ZERϴ holders saw before. If most of your funds sat on ZERϴ, your daily XP should land in a similar range; diversified holders may now level faster.
  • Quests, Gasback and referrals are unchanged.
  • NFTs on ZERϴ cannot be migrated. XP earned from minting them remains.

Getting assets off ZERϴ

Zerion documents two routes. The in-app Bridge tab in Zerion Wallet or the web app lets you choose ZERϴ as the source and any supported chain as the destination; it is fast, but third-party bridge fees and slippage may be higher because liquidity is thin. The canonical bridge at bridge.zero.network sends assets 1:1 to Ethereum mainnet with no bridge fee beyond gas, but you need ETH on both chains and must wait 24 hours before signing the claim on Ethereum. If you still hold anything on ZERϴ after the shutdown date, check the help centre for the latest instructions rather than trusting a third-party “recovery” service.

A sensible way to use Zerion Rewards now

  1. Install Zerion from zerion.io and import or create the wallet you actually use. XP only tracks activity signed in Zerion.
  2. Open Rewards and note your level, Activity limit and Daily Earnings.
  3. Do quests that match things you would do anyway. Quests often involve swaps or protocol interactions that cost fees; skip ones that do not make sense for you.
  4. Do not chase Gasback. The 70-transactions-per-week cap and the Activity limit mean spamming transactions mostly burns gas.
  5. Treat Daily Earnings as a by-product of holding funds, not a reason to move funds into a hot wallet.
  6. Weigh Premium on its own merits. At the listed fees, it only pays off if you swap or bridge enough volume through Zerion.

Costs and risks to keep in mind

  • Swap fees. Zerion’s standard fee on trades is higher than many aggregators. Farming quests through swaps adds up.
  • Hot-wallet exposure. Since Daily Earnings now come from your total balance, there is a temptation to keep more funds in a software wallet. Large holdings belong in hardware or cold storage, which you can still track in Zerion as a watch address.
  • ZERϴ leftovers. Forgetting assets on a shutting-down chain is a real loss risk. Check every address you used.
  • Program changes. The switch away from ZERϴ shows that XP rules can change. Do not plan around fixed conversion rates.
  • Perps and tokenized assets. Newer trading features carry leverage and counterparty risk unrelated to XP.

How to spot fake Zerion claim pages

  • Official domains are zerion.io (app at app.zerion.io) and help.zerion.io. The canonical ZERϴ bridge is bridge.zero.network.
  • The official X account is @zerion.
  • There is no Zerion token and no “XP conversion” or “ZERϴ shutdown compensation claim”. Pages using that language are phishing.
  • Zerion will never ask for your recovery phrase to “migrate” XP or DNA. The help centre says XP changes apply automatically with no action needed.
  • The shutdown is a classic scam hook: fake “emergency bridge” links will circulate in replies and DMs. Use only the in-app Bridge tab or bridge.zero.network, reached from the help centre.

FAQ

Will I lose XP when ZERϴ shuts down?

No. Zerion says all XP and levels are preserved, and Daily Earnings move to your total balance across supported chains.

Does Zerion have a token or airdrop?

No token has been announced. XP unlocks cosmetic and fee perks; Zerion has not said it will convert into a token.

Why can’t I claim XP for a quest?

Usually because the transaction was signed in another wallet. Quests must be completed with the Zerion extension or app.

What is the deadline to bridge off ZERϴ?

Zerion gives July 31, 2026 as the wind-down date and asked users to bridge before then.

Verdict

Zerion is a solid multi-chain wallet, and Zerion Rewards is a light loyalty layer on top of it. After the ZERϴ wind-down, XP simply rewards using the wallet and holding funds in it. That is fine if you already like Zerion, but it is a poor reason to pay extra swap fees or move savings into a hot wallet. Bridge anything left on ZERϴ through official routes and ignore anyone offering to convert your XP. This is not financial advice; self-custody and trading carry risk.
