The WARD airdrop was not a simple “connect wallet, receive tokens” event. Warden Protocol split recipients into groups that were paid automatically and groups that had to claim. It charged a registration fee before the token launched. It also built a claim curve that paid more the longer you waited. If you are trying to work out whether you are owed WARD, or whether a “WARD claim” link in your inbox is real, you need to know which bucket you were in and how the claim portal works.
What Warden Protocol is
Warden Protocol calls itself a blockchain for AI agents. Most users meet it through the Warden app, a wallet with a chat-style AI agent that can swap tokens, open positions and research markets for you. Around that app the team has added an Agent Hub for third-party agents and a Trading Terminal for perpetuals, tokenized stocks and real-world assets on Base, BNB Chain and other networks. It also runs BetFlix, a swipe-to-trade game with tournaments.
Under the app sits WardenChain, the project’s own network, where WARD is the native gas and staking token. WARD also exists as an ERC-20 on Base and a BEP-20 on BNB Smart Chain, and Warden has since bridged it to Robinhood Chain. A token that lives on several chains matters for safety. A fake contract address on any one of those chains can pass for the real thing, so always take addresses from Warden’s own help center, not from a search result or a reply under a post.

From PUMPs to WARD: how the points worked
Before the token existed, Warden counted activity in PUMPs. You earned them by swapping, depositing, referring other users and trading on the AI Trading Terminal. At the end of December 2025 Warden launched a trading incentive that paid 30 PUMPs per dollar of volume and ran weekly and monthly leaderboards. Positions had to be opening trades, and you needed at least $100 of volume to qualify. Those PUMP balances, together with social campaigns, fed into the airdrop.
After the token launch the points were renamed. From Season 04, PUMPs became reWARDs. Warden’s Season 04 post says actions that generate no fees, such as wrapping tokens, do not earn reWARDs, which stops people from farming with free or near-free transactions. Final scores in that season were weighted 30% on reWARDs earned, 40% on fees generated and 30% on wider ecosystem participation. Holders of the Pre-Early Subscription NFT kept a multiplier, and referral rewards grew with the activity of the people you invited.
Who was eligible and how each group gets paid
Warden’s help center lists seven eligibility categories. The most important split is between automatic and claim-based delivery:
- Automatic distribution: WARP holders and stakers (WARP was the earlier token, staked on YieldWard), OPEN OG holders and stakers on Base, and Wallchain Quacks holders. Warden said these tokens would arrive in the first week after trading opened, with no claim needed.
- Claim required: Warden app users who registered, Kaito pre-TGE “yappers” who linked an X account, Pre-Early Subscription NFT holders on Base, and ambassadors who linked X and Discord.
Registration ran from 19 January to 29 January 2026 inside the Warden app. It came with a registration fee, which Warden presented as an anti-spam measure. Payment was first accepted on one network and later also on Arbitrum and BNB Smart Chain. Registering did not guarantee an allocation. Warden said users who registered but missed the final threshold would get their fee back in stablecoins in their Warden account over the following weeks. The help center does not give the exact threshold, so we cannot say where the cut-off fell.
The claim curve: why waiting paid more
The claim portal opened with the token generation event on 4 February 2026 at 12:00 UTC. WARD started trading on several centralized and decentralized venues at the same time. For the claim-based groups, which Warden grouped under the name “The Great Pump Off”, Warden added a twist. In its own words, rewards “increase the longer you wait to claim, reaching its maximum value at month six.” When you claim, the amount is locked at that moment. The rest of your possible maximum goes back to a Public Goods pool that pays for future community campaigns.
Waiting also builds what Warden calls Allocation Power. Warden describes it as a score that gives priority for future airdrops and on the planned Agent Launchpad. So the trade-off was real. Claim early and get fewer tokens you can use right away, or wait up to six months for the full amount and a better position for later campaigns. Month six after launch fell around early August 2026.
At the time of writing, the six-month window has passed. Some third-party trackers say the portal has no hard closing date, but Warden’s own posts only describe the curve reaching its maximum at month six. If you never claimed, connect to the official portal and look at what it shows for your wallet. Do not rely on any outside site’s promise that your allocation is still waiting.
How to check and claim WARD step by step
- Type the address yourself: airdrop.wardenprotocol.org for the checker and claim portal, or open app.wardenprotocol.org and use the Airdrop section, which was added the day before launch.
- Sign in with the same Warden account you registered with. If you qualified as a Kaito participant or ambassador, the linked X or Discord account has to match the one you registered.
- Read the allocation screen. For claim-based groups it shows the amount you can claim right now, which depends on how long has passed since launch.
- Claim to your Warden wallet. Warden described the claim as gasless for users. The tokens land on WardenChain first.
- If you want WARD on Base or BNB Chain, use only the bridge or transfer route the Warden app offers, and check the contract address against the Warden help center.
- If you were in an automatic group (WARP, OPEN OG, Wallchain), look at the wallet you linked during registration rather than searching for a claim button.

After the airdrop: staking, Season 04 and Warden 2.0
Warden turned on WARD staking in the app on 12 February 2026, and from 18 February you could stake straight from the main account screen. Because WARD secures WardenChain, staking means delegating to validators. Before you lock tokens, read the unbonding period and any slashing rules shown in the app.
Season 04, called “Time to reWARD”, ran from 4 February to 30 April 2026. Warden set aside 5 million WARD for it and planned payouts for early May in WARD or a stablecoin equivalent. Warden’s posts describe the Trading Terminal as the fastest way to generate fees, which carry the biggest weight in the score, and BetFlix tournament wins as a quick way to pile up reWARDs.
In September 2026 Warden announced “Warden 2.0”, which moves the token from airdrop asset to required product access. WARD is now needed to use Warden Buffett, the AI trading agent. Holding or staking it gives benefits on the token launchpad, and Warden says network revenue goes to buybacks, burns and staking distributions instead of new emissions. That post did not announce a new points season. If you see a “Season 5 airdrop” claim page, treat it as unconfirmed until it shows up on Warden’s blog.
Costs and risks specific to WARD
- The registration fee set a precedent for scams. Warden really did charge a fee before launch, so fake sites now ask for “registration” or “unlock” fees as well. Registration closed in January 2026. Any page asking you to pay to register or unlock WARD now is not Warden.
- Several chains, several possible fake tokens. WARD is on WardenChain, Base, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain. Fake tokens with the same ticker are easy to deploy on any of them.
- The claim curve was a timing bet. Waiting for the maximum amount meant taking WARD’s price risk for up to six months. Claiming early meant giving part of your allocation back to the Public Goods pool. Neither choice was free.
- Leaderboards reward volume and fees. Trading the Terminal to climb a leaderboard means paying real fees and, with perpetuals, risking liquidation. Season rewards may never cover those costs.
- Sybil filtering. Excluding no-fee actions and limiting how reWARDs could be earned through swaps shows Warden is actively filtering out low-value activity. Many wallets spread thin are less likely to qualify than one wallet with genuine use.
How to spot a fake WARD claim page
Warden’s web addresses all sit under wardenprotocol.org: the main site, app.wardenprotocol.org, airdrop.wardenprotocol.org and help.wardenprotocol.org. Its X account is @wardenprotocol. Look-alike domains such as “warden-airdrop” or “wardenclaim”, or ones on other top-level domains, are fake. So are reply-guy accounts with a gold checkmark and a slightly different handle. A real claim happens inside your Warden account and does not ask you to sign token approvals on an outside site. It never needs your seed phrase. Anyone offering to “speed up” your claim curve or recover an expired allocation for a fee is running a scam.
FAQ
I staked WARP. Do I need to claim?
No. Warden listed WARP holders and stakers as an automatic group. Tokens were due in the first week after trading opened to the wallet you linked during registration.
I registered but the portal shows nothing. What happened?
Registration did not guarantee eligibility. Warden said users below the final threshold would have their registration fee refunded in stablecoins to their Warden account.
Was claiming later always better?
In token terms, yes, up to month six. In dollar terms it depended on WARD’s price, so a larger later claim was not guaranteed to be worth more.
Is there a new WARD airdrop season?
Season 04 ended on 30 April 2026. Warden 2.0 focuses on WARD utility, buybacks and staking, and at the time of writing it does not describe a new airdrop season.
Verdict
The WARD airdrop was one of the more complex of the 2026 launches. It had seven eligibility routes, a paid registration, automatic and manual delivery, and a claim amount that grew over six months. If you qualified, everything you need is in the official portal and your Warden account. If you did not, no outside site can change that. Rewards now come from using the product and staking, under rules Warden publishes on its blog, and those rules have changed more than once. Read the current season post before spending money on fees to chase a leaderboard.
This article is for information only and is not financial advice. Token prices, claim rules and staking terms can change, and every on-chain action carries risk.
