Tensor Rewards 2026: How to Track NFT Marketplace Activity Safely

Tensor Rewards 2026: How to Track NFT Marketplace Activity Safely

Tensor built its reputation as the pro trader’s NFT marketplace on Solana, and its reward seasons were among the most closely watched in the Solana ecosystem. Four seasons have now been paid out in TNSR, the company that built the marketplace has been reorganized, and its memecoin trading app has been sold to Coinbase. For anyone still trading on Tensor in the hope of rewards, the situation is different from what most older guides describe. This article covers how Tensor’s seasons worked, what changed in late 2025, what is and is not live now, and how to avoid the fake TNSR claim pages that keep circulating.

What Tensor is today

Tensor is an NFT marketplace on Solana known for trader-focused features: collection-wide bids, market-making orders, fast listing and sweeping tools, and support for a wide range of NFT types including compressed NFTs. Its documentation describes coverage of more than 30,000 collections. Underneath the interface sit the Tensor Protocols, a set of on-chain programs for listings, bids and NFT liquidity pools that other apps can build on.

The organizational picture changed in November 2025. The Tensor Foundation, which governs the TNSR token, acquired the Tensor Marketplace and the Tensorians NFT collection from Tensor Labs. At around the same time, Coinbase agreed to acquire Vector.fun, the Solana trading app that Tensor Labs had built, and completed that deal on December 5, 2025. The Foundation and TNSR remained independent of Coinbase.

The restructuring came with token changes that matter for anyone holding or earning TNSR:

  • 100% of marketplace fees now go to the TNSR treasury, up from 50%.
  • 21.6% of TNSR supply was burned: all unvested tokens belonging to Tensor Labs and the founders.
  • Founders relocked their already-vested tokens for an additional three years.

How Tensor’s reward seasons worked

Tensor started rewarding traders long before it had a token. Season 1 began in September 2022, in a deep NFT bear market, and ran for six months to March 2023. Seasons 2 and 3 followed. Rather than visible point balances converting at a known rate, traders earned treasure boxes, sometimes called loot boxes, which were later redeemed for TNSR. Activity on both the marketplace and TensorSwap counted.

The April 2024 TNSR launch

TNSR has a fixed supply of 1 billion tokens, with 55% allocated to the community. The initial airdrop was 12.5% of supply, or 125 million TNSR, claimable by holders of treasure boxes from the first three seasons and by Tensorian NFT holders. Tensorians that stayed staked until the claim date shared an additional 1% of supply. TNSR went live on April 8, 2024, and the claim window for that first drop ran until October 5, 2024.

Season 4

Season 4 began in early April 2024 and ended in late December 2024. It distributed 4% of TNSR supply to nearly 50,000 wallets, with the allocation tied to volume: 1.25% of supply per 100 million dollars of trading volume across Tensor protocols. Eligibility combined trading activity with holding staked Tensorians. Users who claimed through Vector received a 25% bonus. The rollout had a visible glitch: some active traders initially saw allocations of just 1 TNSR, which co-founder Richard Wu attributed to a website bug and said would be corrected.

Current status: no Season 5 announced

At the time of writing, the Tensor Foundation has not announced a fifth rewards season. The value case for TNSR has shifted from airdrops toward the treasury: with all marketplace fees now going to a treasury governed by TNSR holders, the token’s role is about governance over those funds rather than about future drops.

There are also some market-structure points to note. Binance removed its TNSR/USDC pair in September 2026, citing low liquidity, although other TNSR pairs remained. And since Vector now belongs to Coinbase, the old Vector bonus mechanic cannot be assumed to apply to anything in the future.

Trading on Tensor sensibly

If you use Tensor, do it because the tools suit how you trade NFTs. A practical routine:

  1. Open tensor.trade directly. Type the domain or use a bookmark. Do not use search ads; NFT marketplaces are a top phishing target.
  2. Connect a trading wallet, not a vault wallet. Use a Solana wallet such as Phantom or Backpack that holds only what you plan to trade with. Keep valuable NFTs in a separate wallet or on a hardware device.
  3. Check collection verification. Tensor marks verified collections. Fake copies of popular collections often trade at a “discount” that is really the full price of a worthless NFT.
  4. Understand fees and royalties before you click. The final price includes marketplace fees and any creator royalties. Collection bids and pool trades can fill at different prices than a single listing.
  5. Read the transaction preview in your wallet. A normal Tensor trade moves a specific NFT and a specific amount of SOL. A prompt that would transfer many assets or grant broad authority is a warning sign.
  6. Keep a record. Note purchase prices, sale prices and fees for each NFT, along with transaction signatures. This helps with tax reporting and with checking any future rewards criteria.

Risks specific to Tensor

  • NFT liquidity. Floors can drop quickly and bids can vanish. A collection bid you placed weeks ago can fill at a moment when the market has moved against you.
  • Wash trading incentives. Volume-based seasons encouraged trading between one’s own wallets. Fees make this costly, and reward programs typically try to filter it out.
  • TNSR market risk. TNSR has fallen far from its launch levels, and thinner exchange support adds liquidity risk for anyone holding rewards.
  • Program and pool risk. Tensor’s on-chain pools and bid programs are smart contracts. Market-making pools in particular can lose value if one side of the pool is drained at bad prices.
  • Organizational change. The marketplace changed owners in late 2025. Features, fee levels and rewards are now decided by the Foundation and TNSR governance.

How to recognize fake Tensor and TNSR claims

The legitimate Tensor domain is tensor.trade (with docs at docs.tensor.trade), and the Foundation posts as @TensorFdn on X. Fake claim pages tend to follow recognizable patterns:

  • “Season 5 claim live” posts. No Season 5 has been announced. Any such link is fake.
  • “Unclaimed S1 TNSR” recovery. The first claim ended on October 5, 2024. There is no late claim route.
  • Vector or Coinbase-themed TNSR offers. Coinbase bought Vector, not TNSR. Pages claiming a “Coinbase x Tensor airdrop” or “Vector migration bonus” are inventions.
  • Burn compensation. The 21.6% burn affected Labs and founder tokens only. Holders were not owed anything, so “burn compensation” claims are fake.
  • Spam NFTs. Solana wallets regularly receive spam NFTs that link to “claim” sites. Do not visit them; hide or burn spam with your wallet’s tools.
  • Signature requests that drain. A real token claim on Solana transfers TNSR to you. A transaction that sends your SOL or NFTs elsewhere is a drainer, even on a page that looks like Tensor.

FAQ

Is Tensor still running reward seasons?

Four seasons have been paid out. The Tensor Foundation has not announced a Season 5 at the time of writing.

Who runs the Tensor marketplace now?

The Tensor Foundation, which acquired the marketplace and the Tensorians collection from Tensor Labs in November 2025.

Did Coinbase buy Tensor?

No. Coinbase acquired Vector.fun, the Solana trading app built by Tensor Labs. Tensor and TNSR remain independent.

Where do Tensor marketplace fees go?

Since the November 2025 restructuring, 100% of marketplace fees go to the TNSR treasury.

Verdict

Tensor remains a capable marketplace for active Solana NFT traders, and its reward history is genuine: one large launch airdrop and a fourth season paid in TNSR. But the airdrop chapter is closed for now. The marketplace sits with the Foundation, fees flow to a token-governed treasury, and no new season has been announced. Trade on tensor.trade if the tools fit your strategy, and treat every new “TNSR claim” with suspicion until @TensorFdn says otherwise.
