Aevo Rewards 2026: How to Track Trading Activity and Avoid Fake Claims

Aevo Rewards 2026: How to Track Trading Activity and Avoid Fake Claims

Aevo’s reward system has changed shape several times. In 2024 it was a casino-style farm with random “lucky boosts” of up to 25x. That ended in July 2024. Today, the rewards are more conventional: a weekly AEVO pool split by trading volume, USDC cashback for high-volume traders, staking tiers that cut fees, a USDC lottery for stakers and monthly buyback-and-burn. Each piece has its own rules, and none of them requires visiting a “claim” site outside the exchange.

This guide breaks down how Aevo works, what each reward stream pays, how to track your own numbers, and how to avoid the fake Aevo pages that circulate whenever a campaign is announced.

What Aevo is

Aevo is a derivatives exchange for options and perpetual futures, built by the team behind Ribbon Finance. It runs on its own Layer 2, a custom OP Stack rollup. Orders are matched off-chain in a central limit order book with a risk engine, and settlement happens on-chain on the Aevo L2. That design gives it exchange-like speed, with sub-10ms order latency claimed in the docs, while users keep withdrawal rights through the rollup contracts.

Products include:

  • Exchange: perpetuals and options with standard or portfolio margin, plus pre-launch futures on tokens that have not launched yet.
  • Perps+: a simplified product that packages options exposure into a perp-like interface.
  • OTC: customizable options trades on a wider set of assets.
  • Strategies: a basis-trade vault for users who want yield rather than directional trades.
  • Builder codes and an MCP server for third-party front ends and AI agents that route orders to Aevo.

Margin can be posted in supported assets, including aeUSD, Aevo’s own dollar collateral token. The AEVO token replaced Ribbon’s RBN token in 2024.

Current reward streams

The Aevo documentation lists the following live programs. The Growth and Marketing Committee can change any of them.

Program What you get Key rules
Trading rewards Share of a weekly pool of 1,000,000 AEVO Pro rata to volume; market maker accounts and pre-launch markets excluded; options use adjusted volume ratios
Volume-based cashback 1%–2% of fees back in USDC each epoch Starts above $500,000 weekly volume; excludes options and pre-launch fees
Staking discounts Up to 20% off trading fees Depends on staked amount and lock length; excludes options and pre-launch fees
Lottery USDC prize plus staked AEVO Runs every 6 hours when there are at least 2 participants and a $50 pot
Referrals 10% of the referee’s fees Paid to both referrer and referee; pre-launch trades excluded

Cashback tiers

Weekly volume up to $500,000 earns no cashback. From $500,001 to $5 million the rate is 1%, from $5 million to $10 million it is 1.5%, and above $10 million it is 2%. Cashback is calculated on fees after any staking discount.

Staking tiers

Staking happens on the AEVO page of the exchange app. Your tier combines an amount band and a lock-duration band, with names running from LUNAR CADET to CELESTIAL LEGEND across 16 combinations. Locks range from 2 months (8 epochs) to 12 months (51 epochs). Multiple stakes merge into one position, and the longest remaining lock sets your duration tier. sAEVO is not a separate token; it simply marks AEVO as staked.

Lottery split

Tickets cost 1 USDC each, with a cap of 1,000 per user per draw. Of the pot, 70% goes to one random winner in USDC, 20% is shared among all participants as staked AEVO, weighted by tickets, and 10% goes to the DAO treasury.

Buybacks, burns and the October 2025 staking migration

Aevo’s buyback system, approved by the DAO, buys 1 to 5 million AEVO per month depending on exchange volume. In normal months more than 60% of purchased tokens are burned and the rest go to the treasury for rewards; when monthly volume is below $500 million, 100% is burned. Separately, the DAO burned 69 million AEVO, 6.9% of supply, as a one-off.

In October 2025 Aevo replaced its staking contract. An incident on October 7 unstaked some holders by mistake; Aevo said no funds were at risk. Stakers were split into groups with migration windows of nine epochs each, after which rewards only flow to stakes on the new contract. If you staked before that date and never revisited the staking page, check whether your position is on the new contract.

Programs that have ended

  • Trading Rewards (2024), the farm with base boosts of 1x–4x and random lucky boosts of 5x, 10x or 25x, ended on July 3, 2024.
  • Staking rewards (2024–2025) under the old contract, replaced as described above.
  • Partner airdrops to Aevo users, including ZERO, SWELL, MOCA, ORDER, BLUE and BSX, among others. These were one-off distributions announced on Aevo’s X account.
  • Campaigns such as the EIGEN rewards program, “All Time High” and “We’re So Back”.

None of these has an open claim, so any site offering to “finish” one is fake.

How to track your Aevo trading activity

  1. Use the exchange portfolio page. Log in at the official app and open your portfolio to see positions, fills, funding and fee totals.
  2. Export history. Aevo’s API has CSV exports for trades and transactions. Download them periodically; they are the best record for checking reward calculations and for taxes.
  3. Track weekly volume against tiers. Cashback and trading rewards are calculated per epoch. Knowing where you sit relative to the $500,000, $5 million and $10 million thresholds tells you whether extra volume earns anything.
  4. Check your staking tier. The AEVO page shows your tier, lock expiry and fee discount. Confirm it reflects the new contract.
  5. Count costs honestly. Compare fees and funding paid against AEVO and USDC received. Trading for rewards alone usually loses money once fees and slippage are included.

Risks specific to Aevo

  • Wash-trading bans. Aevo says wallets caught wash trading lose all rewards, are permanently banned from distributions and are blacklisted, with no appeal. Self-matching or circular trades between your own accounts fall into this.
  • Leverage and liquidation. Perps and short options can be liquidated quickly. Aevo also uses auto-deleveraging (ADL) in extreme conditions, which can close profitable positions.
  • Pre-launch markets. These trade tokens before they exist, with thin liquidity and settlement rules tied to the eventual launch. They are excluded from rewards and discounts.
  • Locked staking. Staked AEVO cannot be withdrawn until the lock ends. A 12-month lock carries a year of price risk.
  • Infrastructure risk. Funds sit on the Aevo L2. Rollup bridges, the off-chain matching engine and the aeUSD collateral each add a layer of risk.
  • Regional restrictions. Aevo’s terms restrict users in certain jurisdictions. Using a VPN to get around them can put your account and rewards at risk.

Spotting fake Aevo claim pages

  • Domain. Aevo’s official domain is aevo.xyz, with the app on its subdomains and docs at aevo.xyz/docs (docs.aevo.xyz redirects there). Variants with extra words or different TLDs are not Aevo.
  • Rewards land inside the exchange. Trading rewards, cashback and lottery payouts are credited to your Aevo account. There is no separate “AEVO claim” site.
  • Official X account. Aevo announces campaigns from @aevoxyz. Impersonators reply under its posts with “claim” links.
  • Signing-key requests. Aevo uses a signing key to trade without repeated wallet pop-ups. A site asking you to export or re-enter it, or your seed phrase, is a theft attempt.
  • “Lucky boost” or “Farm” revivals. The 2024 farm ended. Pages offering boosted farming are fake.

FAQ

Does Aevo still pay trading rewards in AEVO?

Yes. A weekly pool of 1,000,000 AEVO is split by volume, with market makers and pre-launch markets excluded.

Do I need to stake to earn cashback?

No. Cashback depends on weekly volume. Staking adds a separate fee discount, and cashback is calculated on the discounted fees.

I staked before October 2025. Am I still earning?

Only if your stake is on the new contract. Check the AEVO staking page and migrate if needed.

Can I still claim old partner airdrops?

No. They are listed as ended initiatives in the docs.

Verdict

Aevo’s rewards are now an exchange loyalty program: AEVO for volume, USDC cashback for big traders, fee discounts for stakers and a lottery on top. They help active traders trim costs, but they rarely make trading profitable on their own. Track your epochs from the exchange, keep staking on the current contract and ignore any outside claim page. Start from the Aevo website and the documentation for every link.

Derivatives trading is high risk and can lose more than rewards earn. This is not investment advice.
